KATSIA AUGUSTIN 

Event Designer Extraordinaire

 

Katsia Augustin, lovingly referred to as Kay, is the chief inspirer and founder of Signature Event Design (SED). She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design at the University of Bridgeport (UB). 

 

Upon graduating from UB, she worked for architectural firms in Stamford, CT creating 3D rendering of homes. In 2008, Kay had her ah ha moment when helping one of her close friends plan her wedding. Realizing she had a knack of planning, and eye for color and design, she pursued an internship with The Loading Dock, one of Stamford’s premiere event venues. It was there she was introduced to extravagant events and knew she was right at home. In the summer of 2010, SED was born, and the rest is history.  

 

When Kay is not working, she enjoys travelling, entertaining friends & family and giving back to her community.

Favorite Place to Vacation:  Any place where there is sunshine, amazing views, and great food…  I love learning about different cultures and trying new cuisine!

Guilty Pleasure: Netflix... watching my favorite shows with no commercial interruptions gets me giddy every time.
